A Philips LED Downlight bulb, suitable for replacing 50W halogens, is set to be incorporated in some mountain bike lights. As an initial step, I've modeled one using these bulbs to examine how a ray tracer handles diffraction and internal reflection, particularly focusing on the lens and internal components. While this might be beyond my original intentions, the outcome is visually appealing.
