Philips Hue Go Hanging Mount
thingiverse
# Make the Hue Go infinitely more useful # Wouldn't it be great if the Hue Go could actually, well... go? Sure, it has a battery and it lasts a while. Seems like a great idea in theory, until you realize that it's really difficult to mount this sucker in a manner that throws light in a reasonable direction. Since it's rounded, the only two positions that it actually sits stable are lying on its back, shooting light into the air (and blinding anyone at eye level), or on a 45 degree angle, making that whole "blinding" thing even worse. It's great at home to throw accent light on a wall or whatever, but it seemed to me that this thing would be a lot more useful if it were above my head, shining down. As a result, this mount was born, and boy does it work well! Prints without support if you've got your overhangs down, but you might want to consider using some if not. Once printed, simply stick the female end around the button on the back using double sided tape. You can reach through that hole to hit the button on the back if you need to shut it down or control it without your device. Then just screw the male end into place and voila, you've got a hook for your Hue. You can hook this on anything you'd like, or like I did, mount a carabiner to it with a small length of paracord. This lets you clip it to virtually anything. I can hang it from our umbrella on the back porch for after dark mood lighting, or take it camping for a cool modern lantern. It hangs nicely inside of a tent! If you like this, consider leaving a make showing what you use it for! Also, tips are greatly appreciated and go towards helping fund me creating new cool designs for the community!
