Philips Hue Dimmschalter GIRA Adapter
thingiverse
Here is the rewritten text: When you don't want to spend €70 on a Friends of Hue Switch from SENIC and GIRA, but still want to have the Philips Hue Dimmerswitch in the "GIRA-Look", you can simply insert the adapter into a "GIRA 2-Fach Rahmen ohne Mittelsteg" (100203 Standard 55 Reinweiß glänzend) and screw it into the wall through the holes. You can then either clip the Philips Hue Dimmerswitch or hold it in place with magnets. I installed the frames, as seen in the pictures, horizontally because it wouldn't have worked otherwise with the cables in the wall. In principle, however, I would be for mounting everything vertically (but every one does what they want). Versions -------- Version 1: Holding by clipping The dimmerswitch is clipped into the adapter and held in place. Version 2: Holding by magnets The dimmerswitch is held in place by magnets that are stuck to a recess after pressing them. This version is closer to the original holder from Philips. In both versions, the dimmerswitch can be removed as a remote control again. Since I couldn't get support from the recess of Version 2 and Version 1 is much simpler and more cost-effective (no magnets lol), I decided on this one at home. Installation ------------ Installation of Version 1: ---------------------------------- 1. Remove the supports from the edges. 2. Insert the adapter into the GIRA frame. 3. Screw the adapter and frame together with the screws printed in the adapter (I use 3,5x30). 4. Insert the Philips Hue Dimmerswitch (should be possible without violence to sit tightly). Installation of Version 2: ----------------------------------- 1. Remove the supports from the edges and middle. 2. Insert the Philips Hue Dimmerswitch (should be possible without violence to lie loosely inside). 3. Insert 1-2 magnets into the recess and see where they hold "firmly". Then fix with adhesive. 4. Remove the Philips Hue Dimmerswitch. 5. Insert the adapter into the GIRA frame. 6. Screw the adapter and frame together with the screws printed in the adapter (I use 3,5x30). 7. Reinsert the Philips Hue Dimmerswitch. Other Information ---------------- Since this weighs relatively little, you could theoretically also use thick double-sided adhesive tape to attach it to the wall. You can also modify the Fusion 360 (F3D) files as you like. I use this adapter with the GIRA Standard 55 frame in Reinweiß glänzend, but it should be compatible with all other frames of the System 55.
