Philips Hue Dimmer Switch Holder Plate with Side Switch
thingiverse
Normally when installing this, you're not concerned about flipping the actual switch at all. However, what if a need ever arises for you to do so? That's why I modified his design to add a side switch that allows you to turn off the physical switch if needed, allowing you to reset the lights for any reason without having to remove anything. This way, you won't have to take apart your installation to get to the physical switch. Printed main box at 25 Infill with Supports at 50. Be cautious when removing supports from guide rails inside as they are fragile. The slider piece that inserts into the side prints vertically both with and without supports. I added a couple of bars for support within the slider, so you shouldn't have to print with supports, but it's not an issue if you do. On the slide-on pieces, just print them horizontally. Assembly involves printing one hue switch mount at 25infill or more, one hue switch mount slider at 100infill, and two slide-on pieces at 100infill. Take the slider and insert it partially into the side of the mount, then add a slide-on to the slider before pushing it through the rails and adding another slide-on to the end past the rails. This may not be necessary, but I believe it would make the assembly more stable with something at both the beginning and end of the slider. Add hot glue around the slide-on pieces to secure them in place. Thanks for the original design from Jelly Titan. If you have any suggestions or improvements, please let me know, and I'll try them out. Coffee is certainly appreciated!
