Philip II Inscription. Convent La Hoz (Spain)
sketchfab
The Convent of Our Lady of the Angels of the Gorge is situated in Sebúlcor town, Segovia Province, Spain. It's thought to have been established in 1231 and remained functional until 1835 when it was finally abandoned. This site was a place of great devotion, which explains why Philip II of Spain visited here in 1565, as documented in this inscription carved into stone still preserved among the ruins of the building: "THE CATHOLIC KING PHILIP SECOND OF SPAIN VISITED HERE IN THE YEAR 1565 AND PROVIDED CHARITY FOR THIS SQUARE AND FOR ALL NEW WORKS OF THIS HOUSE." A 3D model was created using Reality Capture and 98 images. Additional processing was completed in Geomagic Wrap, InstantMeshes, Substances Designer, and Blender.
