Phenakistoscope Fidget Spinner
thingiverse
I've been experimenting with fidget spinners for a while now, creating several designs that I haven't shared anywhere because there were too many and none really stood out. Each time I made one, I wondered how I could make my spinners unique. I tried spray painting, varying shapes, and patterns, but today I had an idea - turning one into a phenakistoscope seemed like a great concept. So, I searched for a GIF, separated its frames using an online tool, and now you can turn your favorite GIF into a fidget spinner! Feel free to modify the design as needed to accommodate more frames. Note: The video was shot on an iPhone 7 in slow-motion mode without slowing down the actual footage. This device captures images at a rate of approximately 120 frames per second.
