Phelps3D Not Omega Supreme Lamp

As a kid I always liked Omega Supreme, so much so I once did a very poor cosplay of him one Halloween. Although the claw was cool. This is my interpretation of his rocket mode as a lamp. You will need to buy a rubber light fixture (approx. $4), a 120v push-button style switch (approx. $6, I acquired these at Home Depot), and I decided to use an extension cord instead of a standard lamp replacement cord (basically $2 vs $4). I used 3 wire screw connectors and 8 wood screws (I used ¾”, approx. 20 mm, the holes are 4mm diameter). I modified the design a bit after the pictures when I realized the screws were sticking out and that may be a hazard by adding 2mm more to those blocks. The neutral terminal (wider one on the plug) goes to the switch and the other wire on the switch is then connected to the black wire on the light fixture. Then the other wire is connected to the white wire on the light fixture. I used all purpose adhesive on the light fixture to help hold it into place when you screw in the bulb. (I would highly recommend only using fluorescent or LED bulbs due to their lower heat production.) I used superglue to affix the other parts to each other. I positioned the hole in the rocket base so the wire would come out between the two claws. It really doesn’t matter if you want to assemble the parts around the wire as you go or just drop the wire through since the hole is big enough.
