Phasma Blaster - Parts for Flat outline
thingiverse
My kid wanted to get dressed up as Phasma from Star Wars, so we decided to make a blaster the right size for her. We stuck these parts to an MDF outline to give it a more realistic look. These parts are scaled for the blaster we made - the 12.5mm thick MDF outline is about 50cm long, and I drew it freehand from photo references but wasn't super careful. I cut out the shape with a jigsaw and smoothed it a bit (don't forget to wear a good dust mask). If you want to make it bigger, you'll probably need to scale the parts. Print Settings Printer: mini kossel Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm layers Infill: I used 20%, anything else should work Notes: I used a brim for most of the parts Post-Printing Fixing to MDF I used generic CA (cyanoacrylate "superglue") to stick the parts to the MDF outline. It looks like it won't hold, but it does if you use enough to seal the very porous surface. How I Designed This OpenSCAD files & sources All the parts were made in OpenSCAD: sources are included along with SVG and DXF files that are extruded for some of the parts.
