Phase One H20 / P20 digital back viewfinder mask for Hasselblad 500 V camera
thingiverse
Viewfinder mask for the Phase One H20 and P20 digital backs when used on a medium format Hasselblad V system camera, like the 500 C/M, the 500 EL/M, and many more models. The H20 and P20 both use Kodak's KAF-16801CE sensor with a dimension of 36.9 × 36.9 mm. This means the viewfinder needs to be masked for the smaller crop compared to the normal 6 × 6 cm 120 film. These backs originally came with a viewfinder mask but many sellers do not provide this mask when they sell the back. This print replaces the missing mask. To install this print remove the focusing hood (e.g. a waist level finder or other accessory you are using) and put the print on top of the focusing screen. The cut-outs on the sides should clear the retainers holding the focusing screen in place. Press down on the print to make sure it does not block the focusing hood. Slide the focusing hood back in place. You can find my blog on using the H20 on a Hasselblad V camera here: https://style.oversubstance.net/2021/01/how-to-use-a-phase-one-h20-digital-back-on-a-medium-format-hasselblad-v-camera-500el-m/ This mask was modeled on a JPG image of an [aftermarket acetate viewfinder mask](https://www.digitalback.com/product/acetate-viewfinder-masks/). It is based on QR_Phil's 6 × 4.5cm viewfinder mask - I did not reuse his mesh, but did model the outer dimensions of this mask on his design.
