The Lighthouse of Alexandria, also known as Pharaohs Lighthouse, was constructed during the Ptolemaic Kingdom (280-247 BC). Although no photos exist, its image appears on coins and historical figures like Julius Caesar described it. The structure stood at a height between 120-137 meters, with three sections - trapezoidal, hexagonal, and a round upper tower topped by a temple dome. Its legendary status came from claims that it reached the heavens and was home to Poseidon. Strategically positioned on an island in Alexandria, it also served as a fortress with garrisons at its base. Despite being one of the tallest buildings in ancient times, its exact height remains unknown. Earthquakes caused its destruction in the 1300s, but the site was later revived as the Citadel of Qaitbay. This model represents the Lighthouse of Alexandria with approximately 6,332 polygons, made entirely from triangles. It includes an mtl file for colorization and comes with textures at 2048x2048 pixels. If you're using Vue 2012, there's a vob file available too, optimized by Dream Cutter LLC.
