Phantom FX-61 Motor Extension

**Update I had trouble fitting the innermost holes of the stock motor to fit, so I modified it for easier assembly. I also found that a 24mm extension works best with 30 mm screws and one washer. I've included the SketchUp file, allowing you to make it any length desired. This motor mount extends the Zeta Science Phantom FX-61's standard motor mount up to either 20, 23 or 25 mm. Why did I design and print this? There are two reasons. One: for aerial mapping, my plane is loaded with a heavy camera. To compensate, I decided to move the motor back. Two: after reading about people breaking motor mounts during landings (luckily, not me), the solution was adding a folding propeller. However, with its foldable design, the prop won't clear the tail section of the fuselage, so I needed to shift the motor backward. To be safe and prevent in-field emergencies, I decided to implement this upgrade. My current setup features an AERONAUT CAM 9"x7" (23x18 CM) with a 40MM DIAMETER FOLDING PROP SPINNER from Aloft Hobbies (www.alofthobbies.com). My inspiration came from @PiPPi's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:457409). Check the Instructions for print settings and hardware specifications used. Instructions (Note to readers: As a beginner in printing, I appreciate your input on optimizing my instructions - please feel free to leave a comment.) Using 24mm extensions worked best with M3 x 30mm screws and one washer. In case you'd like shorter or different mounts for the prop, I included them in this upload (20 & 23 mm lengths).
