Phantom 3 Kwad Mod
thingiverse
This is my current design, and it may evolve over time. The mount I've created is specifically designed for transforming a Phantom 3 into either a racing kwad or drone. It offers the flexibility to accommodate 20x20 or 30.5x30.5 mounting configurations, and it also features a dedicated spot for a mini or micro camera. I utilized 35mm standoffs and 12mm screws in its construction. To assemble the mount, simply screw the standoffs down onto the screws from inside the frame, which are inserted through the bottom of the frame. Once the standoffs are secured, you can slide the mount over them and attach your boards and hardware directly to it. I'm running a CNHL 1300 4S battery on my setup, and it fits comfortably under the stack and between the standoffs. However, please note that the front of the lower shell will require some modification - specifically, it needs to be cut out to accommodate this design. To make it easier to connect to my computer, I added a remote USB connector. It's essential to print this design using TPU material without any supports. For additional reference, you can also consider utilizing a USB extender like the one available from ReadymadeRC, which can be found at https://www.readymaderc.com/products/details/rmrc-micro-usb-extension.
