
Phantom 3 Drop Mechanism (Taco Dropper)

I designed this system to autonomously release tacos from a Phantom 3 drone using a spare servo, receiver, and compact battery. To operate it independently, I utilize a separate transmitter since there isn't an available spare channel on the standard Phantom controller. Constructed in two sections, the device needed to be larger than my print bed, so I split it into manageable halves. Securing it together are two small bolts, which, along with several zip ties, keep the assembly firmly attached to the landing legs.
