Phanteks Shift Base Air Seal for 140mm Fan

When I opened my Phanteks Shift case, I immediately spotted numerous problems stemming from inadequate airflow within this otherwise visually stunning case. After identifying these airflow issues, I implemented several modifications to ensure the case maintained positive pressure whenever possible. However, as I blocked off additional holes, I wanted to prevent fresh air from leaking back out through the base. Furthermore, I was concerned about hot PSU exhaust reentering the case. In the past, I relied on Sound Deadener material to seal air passages, but this solution required replacement each time I disassembled my computer. Moreover, I desired a standardized mounting point for the 140mm fan and streamlined airflow from the base fan to the side intake fan, which protruded into the airstream. To address these needs, I designed this print. It envelops both the fan exit and the sfx PSU while providing a cutout for the fan power cable to exit through the bottom of the case and reach the fan. Four versions are available: two for 140mm Noiseblocker fans and two for standard squared-off 140mm Fans. Each fan type features an option between a perfect conical airflow streamline fairing and a simple diagonal streamline. I chose not to test cooling performance with and without this print, as I didn't notice any difference in cooling performance when using the sound deadening material. If you own a Phanteks Shift case and wish to block off airflow through the base around the PSU area, this print should serve your needs nicely. This design also aligns the 140mm Fan perfectly with my other creation that replaces the base stand, isolates intake fan air from PSU exhaust air, and integrates a Silverstone Ultra Fine filter for dusty environments.
