Phanteks Shift Airflow Mod

Phanteks Shift Airflow Mod

If your build is struggling with poor airflow, this mod may be just what you need. It replaces the factory front cover mount brackets entirely, allowing fresh air to flow into the base area while exhausting stale air through the top. A built-in divider prevents exhaust air from recirculating back into the intake fan. The standard filter that comes with the case won't work here, but I've included a bracket for an optional Silverstone FF143B 140MM fan filter that's ultra-fine yet still lets air flow freely. When my system is maxed out and using the filter, this mod yields about a 1-2 degree difference compared to having no cover at all - you'll see even better performance without it. Also included are extended versions of the base and lid. The base has threaded holes where you can attach your own 5.3mm ball studs for added strength. I chose metal over 3D printed studs because they're more durable. To make generic 5mm ball studs work, I coated them with several layers of super glue until they grew large enough to fit snugly into the case mount brackets. While I haven't personally tested this design, I'd love it if you could try it out and share your feedback so I can refine it further.
