PG35L Micro Extruder V4 - For J-Head
thingiverse
Version 4 of the short shaft PG35L-048 motors (8mm) features an integrated bearing to counter idler tension, eliminating the need for external bearings. It also includes a snap-in slot for a J-Head hot end, inspired by scottmayson. This Micro Extruder has been tested on MendelMax and Prusa printers. For Hobbed Drive Gears and Bearings, visit www.ultibots.com. MendelMax 1.5+ kits and printed parts are available for purchase there as well. Alibre PE source files are included. For assembly, you will need M3x40 bolts and M3 jam nuts (x2) for the idler, M3x25 bolts and M3 jam nuts (x2) for the motor mount, 605ZZ bearings for internal and idler use (x2), M5x20 bolts and M5 jam nuts (x2) for the bearings, M5 washers (x4), and M4-10 bolts and M4 jam nuts (x2) to secure to the x-carriage. Remember to remove and drill out the support layers on the idler and body. Check out our gear puller at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:31660, as it works well with AlephObjects Supa-Flat X-Carriage (thingiverse.com/thing:10646). The bearing holders can be found in the SDP_bearing_mount_for_y_axis__on_side_with_square_ends_and_fixed_holes_by_Simon.stl file, which is available on thingiverse.com/thing:15205. As of 01/10/13, a brimmless STL with better internal breakaway supports has been added.
