PFM 1 Fountain Pen Holder

Pen holder I made quickly for my Sheaffer PFM I fountain pen. This pen holder is very likely to not work on anything other than pens from the Sheaffer PFM series, and even then I only tested the first one. It's also a bit tights around the “flywheels”, needing to slide it in instead of dropped in (might be fixed now)

Picture is slightly different from included files, modified to retain the look but be much easier to print, also some stuff pertaining to making the pen easier to take out and put back.

IMPORTANT :
High performance on overhangs is required for this print to succeed, and even then will still require post processing to look acceptable.

I printed it in simple PLA with a mostly stock Ender 3 Pro. You may reslice based on your printer's known performance.

Due to the model being complex, slicing might be hard to do successfully. Included is a
.gcode
file that I think will work fine.

Notes for if you plan on slicing the model yourself :

Supports ON BUILD PLATE only (will interfere with fine details if not)

Supports Overhang Angle : 65° (may be too aggressive with supports without)

65 mm/s speed prints in 7hrs with 8% cubic with stock E3P.

A support under the piston wheel (you'll understand when printing) will end up quite thin. Be generous with support brim lines, or print rafts.

Sanding may be required to attain a satisfactory result, especially between the 2 parallel pistons going to the piston wheel.

Category: Office
