This is a special adapter that you cannot buy anywhere!. This allows you to take a Press Fit 30 (PF30) Bottom Bracket bike frame and convert it to the proprietary diameter of the Bafang BBSHD 1000w Mid Drive Motor! https://bafangusadirect.com/products/bafang-1000w-bbshd-mid-drive-ebike-motor-kit Bafang BBSHD Mid Drive Motor claims to use a 24mm (BSA) thread standard to mount to your bike frame. Since Press Fit bottom brackets don’t have threads, this isn’t compatible. The BBSHD Motor shaft isn’t actually 24mm BSA for the whole shaft, but rather only the end. It’s actually a non-threaded 34mm shaft for a majority of what’s in the frame. TechBytes Designed this bracket in 2020 and has been using it since!. This adapter uses a 46mm outer diameter to press into your bike frame. Please Note: due to manufacturing tolerances with bike frames, and 3D Printing Some frames / Prints may need a +/- 0.2-0.5mm adjustment on the outer diameter. Print Instructions: - Material = PETG or Polycarbonate (something strong) - Perimeter walls = 4 (Horizontal & Vertical) - Infill = 50-60% - Layer Height = 0.2mm This adapter was Printed and installed in 2020 and currently still in service in a 2015 Specialized FatBoy Bike. Instructions on how to install: 1) Remove your old cranks and nylon PF30 insert 2) Clean inside of frame with isopropyl alcohol and make sure surface is clean and dry 3) Prep the bike frame with Park Tools Adhesive Primer AP-1 as well the lip of the 3D Print. https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/adhesive-primer-ap-1?category=Lubricants+%26+Compounds 4) Once the AP-1 Primer is dried (wait 20-30min), you can now apply the second compound 5) Apply the Park Tools Press Fit Retaining Compound RC-1 to the 3D Print https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/press-fit-retaining-compound-rc-1?category=Lubricants+%26+Compounds 6) Install the Print into the frame with a Bottom Bracket Press Tool (Note: Do not use a rubber mallet or hammer if you don’t have this tool, It won’t seat itself properly.
