PEZ Feet Connector (slippers)

PEZ Feet Connector (slippers)

thingiverse

Passionate about Thingiverse, I enjoy exploring its vast collection of connectors, fasteners, and hinges. My art revolves around modular work and systems, making it the perfect research platform for me. Presently, I am curating a selection of intriguing fasteners and connectors for an upcoming project in the New Year. In recent times, I have been working on a series of "Art History" PEZ toppers, finding fascination in juxtaposing iconic sculptures with candy dispensers while also appreciating the mechanical and formal qualities of the PEZ stem itself. To enhance the modular capabilities of these dispensers, I designed a unique "Foot" connector inspired by Wallace's slippers. Using Tinkercad, I modeled the connector and shared my designs on Thingiverse as well. While it may not be perfectly symmetrical yet, I have successfully tested its attachment and detachment capabilities multiple times. I have uploaded the basic "slipper" file and attached it to tbusers' "Dispenser Insert" for stackable PEZ. In the future, I plan to create custom PEZ with different heads and embedded connectors while also working on larger sculptures made from interconnected PEZ stems using 2-way and 4-way connectors. As these creations evolve, they will be featured on this page.
