I've replaced my Peugeot 205's heating control unit - airflow, fan speed, and temperature are now fully functional! The new knobs fit snugly on a small pivot with a flat side; it was a challenge to get them right but the Block/Pivot Test file saved me a ton of time and potential waste. I've learned that these three knobs look identical but my car is a bit unique: the fan speed knob required a slightly shorter cylinder part, while the temperature knob needed a different angle for its flat side - possibly due to years of abuse or poor design! Thanks to this script, it's incredibly easy to customize dimensions and angles to fit your specific needs. For more details, refer to the commentary in the code. Instructions Here are a few important notes: The knobs on my car are each distinct; I'm unsure if this is typical behavior or the result of excessive use over the years. Pivot radius and flat side measurements matter greatly - going too big means the knob won't grip, too small will cause it to come loose. A slight misjudgment by just a tenth of an mm can result in a useless print so keep spare files on hand if possible.
