Peugeot 206 phone mount
thingiverse
After persisting with my CD phone holder for some time, I've switched gears. This one attaches to the radio-removal holes in the factory-installed Clarion CD player of my 2005 Peugeot 206cc. It should probably work just fine for any 2005 206, possibly any 2005 Peugeot, maybe any Peugeot, whether left-hand drive or right-hand drive. It will likely function well in many other car makes and models, but I can't guarantee anything. It features a 17mm ball for mounting the phone charger itself. This seems to be standard, based on my two-sample test. Clearly, this cellphone holder/wireless charger https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Tendway-Qi-Fast-Wireless-Car-Charger-Qc-2-0-Quick-Mobile-Phone-Charger-Gravity-Car-Phone/32910587968.html designed to clamp onto the vent is a great example. This design is a single piece, but it requires two M3x30mm socket-cap screws to fit into the holes. I haven't made any provision for mechanically securing the screws in the mount. I don't think this will be a problem, but you may want to glue them into place. Note that this holder is designed for the right-hand holes in the radio; there are cutouts in the bottom of the mount to clear the buttons. If you put it into the left-hand holes, it may turn your radio on/off or whatever. Printing a mirror image probably won't help because the buttons are asymmetric. If you want to use the left-hand holes, you'll need to do a remix! January 8, 2019: I've modified this design to position the phone lower. This is designed for the charger linked above, but a bit of hot glue will attach other chargers' tops to the mount. [Edit] Don't print using PLA -- after a day parked in the sun, your phone holder will sag.
