Petsfang X endstop offset for gantry mounted cable chain
thingiverse
I found that combining the Petsfang cooling system with the gantry mounted X cable chain could make it difficult to trigger the X endstop without severely bending the cable chain and dislodging the hotend carriage mount. This is a simple arm that mounts to the top screw of the Petsfang duct to trigger the endstop from a longer distance to minimise this strain. You will need to adjust your X minimum position to 0 in your firmware (see below) to keep your X0 at the left corner of the bed. **You will not actually lose any X axis range**, this arm is simply using up the -5 mm beyond the bed that the X endstop is located at. I.e. the original X axis range was -5 mm to 235 mm, but -5 to 0 mm was off the bed and not used except for homing. The new range will be 0 to 235 mm with X0 at the left corner of the bed Marlin firmware change: Original: *#define X_MIN_POS **-5*** New: *#define X_MIN_POS **0*** Tested on Geeetech A10 with: [Petsfang parts cooling duct](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2993902) [Ender 3 gantry mounted X cable chain](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3218297) Should be applicable to Ender 3 and similar printers as well.
