My kitties struggle with keeping their backsides below the edge of my PetSafe New Simply Clean Automatic Litter Box, so I came up with a solution to contain the mess. The extension clips onto the rim that sits on top of the bowl and has an overlapping section for coverage between adjacent sections. I've installed six of these extensions on my box, three on each side, mirroring one side to ensure even coverage. This leaves about 90° of open rim exposed for fur balls to enter the litter box.
