I designed this modification for the PetSafe New Simply Clean Automatic Litter Box to address a specific issue. The gap in the rim above the bowl just under the waste ramp allows litter to fall into it and eventually clog the gears, slowing them down over time. This design fills that gap, keeping the litter out of the gear mechanism. To do this, I created side extensions that can be bent 90 degrees to rest on either side of the gap in the rim. The wall thicknesses are set at 1 mm and the bend joints are only 0.5 mm, so it's essential to use a small nozzle size and layer height when printing. This modification ensures the litter stays out of the gear mechanism, keeping your PetSafe New Simply Clean Automatic Litter Box running smoothly.
