The Petropavlovsk class, often mistakenly referred to as the Poltava class, consisted of three pre-dreadnought battleships constructed for the Imperial Russian Navy in the late 1800s. These ships were hastily transferred to the Pacific Squadron following their completion between 1899 and 1900, with Port Arthur serving as their base before the outbreak of the Russo-Japanese War in 1904-1905. All three vessels actively participated in the Battle of Port Arthur on its second day of conflict. The Petropavlovsk met a tragic fate two months into the war after striking one or more mines laid by Japanese forces, resulting in its sinking. Meanwhile, its sister ships, Sevastopol and Poltava, took part in the pivotal Battle of the Yellow Sea in August 1904 before being lost or intentionally destroyed during the Siege of Port Arthur's final stages in early 1905. Some model details, such as the placement of six-inch guns and their turrets, can be quite difficult to discern. Furthermore, the masts on this particular model are quite delicate. In light of these challenges, I may decide to omit them altogether, leaving it up to future printers to add wire masts by drilling holes as they see fit.
