In fields of agriculture, near Temamatla in the state of Mexico, on a moderately sized igneous rock (1 m high x 2 m long), the ancient Aztecs carved the image of a "cipactli", a mythical being similar to a lizard that symbolizes the Earth, from this fantastical character emerged a human face. On top is a concave perforation used to deposit liquid offerings, it's an xicalli, which translates from Nahuatl as vase. The site was registered by archaeologist Adán Meléndez as TA-007, who believes that this space was dedicated to rituals for requesting rain from the Chiconquiat Hill. For Dr. Arturo Montero, the site gains importance because from here you can see the sunrise over the peak of Iztaccíhuatl volcano during equinoxes, completing an aesthetic allegory with Tenayo Hill, digitalization by Julia Montero, February 2021.
