Khatm Al Melaha is a major archaeological site on the coast of the Oman Sea near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE. It's one of the largest rock art sites in the UAE, boasting an impressive array of stone houses, a shell midden, stone tombs and other features that date back to at least the early Holocene to the 19th century. A total of over 175 stones with petroglyphs were meticulously documented and nearly 400 motifs were identified. Each rock with a glyph was assigned an ID number and a precise GPS coordinate. In one single day, a massive amount of data was collected: 25,455 terrestrial photographs, 5,244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 GPS points accurate to within 1cm.
