Petroglyph N9 is located at Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah. Arabian Oryx appears on the left side, two Syrian Wild Ass on the right, and several unidentified images are visible. This artwork probably dates back to the Neolithic era or earlier. These motifs are common in southern Arabia, Oman, and the UAE, as revealed by Fossati's 2019 study "Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)". Khatm Al Melaha is a remarkable archaeological site situated on the coast of the Oman Sea near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE. It ranks as one of the largest rock art sites in the UAE. Besides petroglyphs, this site features stone houses, shell middens, stone tombs, and other structures that demonstrate the presence of human occupation from at least the early Holocene period to the 19th century. A comprehensive documentation project was undertaken, resulting in over 175 stones with petroglyphs being recorded. Close to 400 motifs were identified throughout this extensive collection. Every rock featuring a glyph was assigned an ID number and a GPS coordinate. In total, 25,455 terrestrial photographs, 5,244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 GPS points (with an accuracy of +/- 1 cm) were captured in just one day. All the collected data was processed using Reality Capture technology.
