Human: Natural with Paint. Petroglyph J5, Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah. One Nubian Ibex. Neolithic or earlier. These are common motifs found throughout southern Arabia, Oman, and the UAE, as documented in Fossati's 2019 publication Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman). More than 175 stones featuring petroglyphs were thoroughly documented, with nearly 400 distinctive motifs identified. Each rock bearing a glyph was assigned a unique ID number and GPS coordinate. In a single day, a staggering total of 25455 terrestrial photographs, 5244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 precise GPS points (with an accuracy of +/- 1cm) were captured. Reality Capture and Substance Painter techniques were employed to bring the ancient artwork to life in vivid detail.
