[Fossati 2019 Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)]. Khatm Al Melaha is a Venerable Archaeological Site on the Oman Sea Coast near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE. It Boasts one of the Largest Collections of Rock Art in the UAE. Over 175 Stones Bearing Petroglyphs were Exhaustively Documented and nearly 400 Motifs Were Uncovered. Each Rock with a Glyph was assigned a Unique ID Number and GPS Coordinate. In a Single Day, 25455 Terrestrial Photographs, 5244 Drone Photographs, 44 Drone Videos, and 182 Precise GPS Points (+/- 1cm) were Captured. Petroglyphs Were Identified using Radiance Scaling in Meshlab, Advanced Materials Lighting in Substance Painter, and by Simulating Varying Conditions in Sketchfab. Some Carvings Remain Invisible until Viewed under Specific Techniques. Drawings Were only Created when a Definitive Line Could be Detected using one of these Methods.
