Human figurines with distinctive headgear are characteristic of Petroglyph G6 at Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah, dating back to the Neolithic period, around the 5th-4th millennium BCE [Fossati 2019 Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)].\nLocated on the coast of the Oman Sea near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE, Khatm Al Melaha is a remarkable archaeological site boasting one of the largest collections of rock art in the UAE. The site's extensive features include stone houses, shell midden, stone tombs and other remnants that attest to its occupation from at least the early Holocene era up to the 19th century.\nOver 175 stones bearing petroglyphs were meticulously documented, with nearly 400 distinct motifs identified. Each rock with a glyph was assigned a unique ID number and GPS coordinate. In a single day, an impressive 25,455 terrestrial photographs, 5,244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 precise GPS points (accurate to within 1cm) were captured.\nAll data was processed using Reality Capture and Substance Painter software.
