DStretch Version: Petroglyph G3 Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah. Abstract design and an animal depiction are hallmarks of Neolithic or earlier art styles commonly found in southern Arabia, Oman, and the UAE, as noted in Fossati's 2019 publication Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman). A total of over 175 stones bearing petroglyphs were meticulously documented, with nearly 400 distinct motifs identified. Each rock with a glyph was assigned a unique ID number and GPS coordinate for precise tracking. In a single day, an impressive array of data was collected: 25455 terrestrial photographs, 5244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 GPS points accurate to within +/- 1cm were captured through the combined use of Reality Capture and DStretch technologies.
