Human: Natural Version. Petroglyph G24, Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah. One Nubian Ibex stands out as a dominant motif. This Neolithic or earlier depiction is consistent with common themes found in southern Arabia, Oman, and the UAE. [Fossati 2019 Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)]. A staggering number of petroglyphs were documented, totaling over 175 stones, and close to 400 distinct motifs were identified within this collection. Each rock with a glyph was meticulously assigned an ID number and GPS coordinate for thorough documentation. In just one day, a massive amount of data was collected: 25,455 terrestrial photographs, 5,244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 precise GPS points, accurate to within 1 centimeter. Reality Capture methods were employed to gather this comprehensive dataset.
