Predating Neolithic by Possibly Several Thousand Years. These Iconic Motifs are Widely Found in Southern Arabia, Oman, and the UAE. [Fossati 2019 Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)]. Khatm Al Melaha is a Significant Archaeological Site Situated Along the Coast of the Oman Sea near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE. It Boasts One of the Largest Collections of Rock Art in the UAE. The Site Also Features Stone Houses, Shell Midden, Stone Tombs, and Other Notable Features that Indicate Occupations Spanning from the Early Holocene to the 19th Century. Over 175 Stones with Petroglyphs Were Systematically Documented, While Nearly 400 Motifs Were Successfully Identified. Each Rock Bearing a Glyph Was Assigned a Unique ID Number and GPS Coordinate. In a Single Day, an Impressive Total of 25,455 Terrestrial Photographs, 5,244 Drone Photographs, 44 Drone Videos, and 182 GPS Points with an Accuracy of +/- 1cm Were Captured.
