DStretch Version, Petroglyph G18, Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah. A probable reptile carving, possibly Neolithic in origin or earlier, as described by Fossati [2019 Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)].\nKhatm Al Melaha is a major archaeological site situated on the Oman Sea coast near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE. It boasts one of the largest collections of rock art in the UAE.\nOver 175 stones with petroglyphs were meticulously documented and nearly 400 distinct motifs were identified. Each stone bearing a glyph was assigned a unique ID number and GPS coordinate. In total, 25455 terrestrial photographs, 5244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 precise GPS points (+/- 1cm) were captured in a single day.\nPetroglyphs were successfully identified using Radiance Scaling in Meshlab, materials lighting in Substance Painter, and by adjusting conditions in Sketchfab. Some carvings were nearly invisible when viewed under standard conditions. Drawings were only created when a clear line could be discerned using one of these techniques.\nReality Capture and DStretch technology played key roles in this process.
