Human: Petroglyph G10, DStretch Version, Khatm Al Melaha, Kalba, Sharjah. One gazelle and circles. Likely earlier than Neolithic. [Fossati 2019 Messages from the Past: Rock Art of the Al-Hajar Mountains (Oman)].\nKhatm Al Melaha is a significant archaeological site situated on the coast of the Oman Sea near Kalba in Sharjah, UAE. This site boasts one of the largest rock art collections in the UAE.\nOver 175 stones with petroglyphs were thoroughly documented and nearly 400 unique motifs were carefully identified. Each stone bearing glyphs was assigned an ID number and a precise GPS coordinate. In just one day, an impressive total of 25455 terrestrial photographs, 5244 drone photographs, 44 drone videos, and 182 accurate GPS points (within +/- 1cm) were captured.\nPetroglyphs were skillfully analyzed using Radiance Scaling in Meshlab, advanced materials lighting in Substance Painter, and expertly modified conditions in Sketchfab. Certain carvings became visible only when employing these techniques, which allowed for precise line identification. Drawings were created exclusively when a discernible line could be detected using one of these methods.\nReality Capture and DStretch played crucial roles in this remarkable endeavor.
