Petri dish holder for microscope MOTIC BA210E and BA310E (BA210 and BA310 Elite versions)

A specific piece that might however concern a few people: a petri dish holder for the upright microscopes Motic BA210 Elite and BA310 Elite. As far as I know it should fit only Elite versions, or to be more precise the built-in coaxial mechanical stage which is usually sold with them. This piece has been designed based on my BA310E (2021 version) to fit the caps of VWR polystyrene 55mm petri dishes. I use them for large samples, in order to sub-sample them for observations on slides. The reasons of this choice are that i) they are some of the petri dishes that I have, ii) the cap diameter fits exactly the maximal Y axis amplitude of the BA310E stage, and iii) the cap height allows to use 4x and 10x plan achromat objectives without risk of touching any of the 20x, 40x, 60x or 100x oil plan achromat objective that could be mounted right next to them (with an extra 2 mm of free space). The dish can also be moved until its left or right border without risk of falling into the central opening of the stage.
