The Peterbilt 353, known as "Western Life," is a custom-built truck designed for long haul operations in North America. Since its first production in 1939, the Peterbilt name has been associated with reliability and quality. The heavy-duty chassis of this particular model can handle extreme load conditions. Special features include driver comfort with air conditioning, protective radiator cover, and heavy mudguards along with mud flaps. A heat exchanger warms the batteries and tanks while more robust steel rims are available instead of conventional aluminum ones. Each Peterbilt cab is protected by an aluminum skin to prevent corrosion. The power unit of this truck is an NTC 425 Cummins diesel engine, producing 317kW (425PS).
