Peter Ganine Classic Chess
thingiverse
One of the most iconic props from Star Trek is a three-dimensional chess set, and the most widely associated were the Ganine "Classic Style" chess pieces. Peter Ganine (October 11, 1900 – August 11, 1974) was a renowned Russian-American sculptor known for his work in ceramics and innovative chess sets. By giving human faces to chess pieces, Ganine introduced a major design change that shook the chess world after more than a century of tradition. The only piece not quite matching Peter's original design is the Knight, which I believed looked better as a Staunton-style horse shape. The Knight also requires additional supports for stability. If you prefer a more original Knight design, it can be found here: Star Trek - Ganine Classic Chess Set: Knight by Dr_Merkin.
