I found this "Pet Corrector" at my local pet supply store (second picture), It's a great product and works as intended but at 14 bucks a can for 50 shots and the amount of correcting I have to do with my 4 dogs I needed to find a less expensive solution...

So a little work in Fusion360 and a bit of PLA and voila I have a Pet corrector for 3 bucks a can and a couple hundred shots! The shape of the nozzle amplifies the sound and the deflector in the middle helps prevent liquid vapor from hitting the animal.

Attached are two files "Pet Small" and Pet Large" these refer to the size of nozzle depending on the can of air you purchase. The large will fit around 7mm or 9/32" and the small fits around 6.25mm or 1/4"

I have printed this with and without supports, both worked but getting the supports out of the center of the nozzle beneath the deflector was tedious.

** A word of caution this device is intended to correct an unwanted behavior i.e. excessive barking, bullying etc. by creating a startling noise to break the animal's focus. It is not, I repeat NOT a defensive device to ward off an attack.

Print instructions

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK2.5

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

.20

Infill:

20%

Filament:
Solutech PLA Black

Notes:

I used a brim to keep this on the build plate.
