Pet Tail Tip Protector
thingiverse
My feline companion's tail tip had been surgically removed due to an unfortunate accident. As a result, it began exhibiting bizarre behavior, frequently biting and licking its own tail, thereby hindering the wound's recovery process. A skilled veterinarian intervened by fitting this innovative design onto the cat's tail using medical tape and a band, effectively preventing any further attacks on the tail for approximately one day. Moreover, the tail tip remained securely positioned at the device's center, while the wound avoided making contact with the walls of the device, allowing it to dry out and seal rapidly. Unfortunately, my cat managed to crash into the device at an alarming speed, causing significant damage to its structure. In retrospect, I attribute this mishap primarily to the fact that I had printed the design using PLA instead of ABS. Hence, I would strongly advise anyone attempting to replicate this project to use ABS as their printing material and to set a layer height below 0.2mm to ensure optimal results.
