Heartless was a Pet Monster that belonged to Pet Shop Manager Kohaku, and it had a strong dislike for Valentine, who was also Kohaku's pet monster friend. Despite this, the two monsters were incredibly close, often spending their days playing together in the Pet Shop. When Kohaku got the new pet monster, Heartless, he took a liking to him instantly. However, when Valentine saw that Heartless was wearing his favorite collar, he became enraged and attacked Heartless out of jealousy.
