The remnants of the Pesuta, a 264-foot log barge, lie strewn across East Beach on Haida Gwaii, where it came to rest after being wrecked in a fierce winter storm that ravaged the Hecate Strait back in 1928. The wreckage now lies north of the Tlell River, a grim testament to the power of nature's fury. A group of adventurers and photographers took on the challenge of documenting this historic shipwreck, braving harsh conditions to capture its likeness. Armed with iPhone 6 cameras, they snapped 226 images on that fateful day, when high tide and howling winds made every step a battle against the elements. As they worked, massive waves crashed against the shore, making it impossible to access the seaward side of the wreck.
