Pescador Pilot Pro Fishing Kayak Rudder Control Upgrade I embarked on this project to upgrade the Pescador Pilot Pro fishing kayak's subpar rudder control, which sparked my interest in 3d printing, additive manufacturing, and product design. This add-on seamlessly integrates with the stock controls, requiring a longer bolt for secure attachment. If you happen to stumble upon this upgrade, I want you to know that it was created and shared freely because I successfully acquired a new skill while tackling a pressing problem. The original product retails online for approximately $25, but I didn't agree with the price; to me, it was overpriced at nearly double what I was willing to pay – around $10. So, I took the plunge and invested in an Ender 5 3d printer, which allowed me to learn 3d modeling and printing. My hope is that you'll find this upgrade useful and that it will be approved and shared freely. While my model isn't perfect from a design perspective, it functions flawlessly and provides a much-needed upgrade. If you have any requests or need additional files, please don't hesitate to comment – I'm here to help! Printed using PETG with a .4mm nozzle at .16 layer height and 50% infill. The model was solidified via MeshMixer and sliced with Simplify3D; supports were required for a smooth print.
