Please consider joining our Tribe Perun the Thunderer, the Forefather, is a god of thunder and lightning, bringer of rain and fertility, father of war and supreme deity of ancient Slavic pantheon. He lives on the Seventh Heaven, high in the branches of the World Tree. Eagles and horses are his animals, oak and iris are plants dedicated to him. His very name means thunder. He sits atop the World Tree, watching the earth and the skies, especially watching for his brother and sometimes enemy Veles, in his draconic shape. When Perun falls asleep, then Veles tries to steal his wife, cattle or son and to take his prey into the underworld. That is when the fierce battle ensues and storms shake the world of men.
