Personification of Autumn
myminifactory
The statue was unearthed in 1904 by Robert Fagan on the Cesarini estate at Campo Jemini, situated near a historic Roman villa. Autumn is depicted as a youthful woman bearing an ornate crown of grapes, surrounded by four cupids gathering the vines. With the head completed by the Neo-Classical sculptor Massimiliano Laboreur, it can be dated back to the mid-2nd century AD.
