Personalized Snowflake Picture Ornament

Personalized Snowflake Picture Ornament

thingiverse

Inspired by Richard Berwick's Personalized Snowflake (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37744), I modified the design with a solid middle, four posts, and a top frame. To edit the OpenSCAD file, use Richardberwick's original version. Apologies for the delay in sharing; I was preoccupied with fun activities. I printed mine with white ABS, .27 layer height, 10% fill, and one extra shell. Attach a picture using a hook/loop/fastener through a drilled hole on one of the "crystal" spikes. Align the picture with the top ring's outline, then place it on the four pins, ensuring proper orientation. The pins will create holes when pressed down, but be cautious as they may stick up too high for different picture thicknesses; trim excess pin height with a razor or adjust OpenSCAD code accordingly.
