
Personalised EU/UK/GB Vehicle Registration Number Plate Keyring

<p>A customizable keyring in the style of a EU/UK/GB number plate.</p><p>These are perfect for labelling your keys, bag and other personal belongings.</p><p>Use your slicer's 'pause at height' or 'filament change' feature to create multicolored keyrings on a single extruder 3D printer.</p><h3>Font</h3><p>To use this project, you will require the <a href="https://www.k-type.com/fonts/mandatory/">Mandatory</a> font by <a href="https://www.k-type.com/">K-Type</a>, which is '<i>free for personal use</i>'. Please see the <a href="https://www.k-type.com/licences/">K-Type Licences</a> page for details.</p><p>Once you have obtained your copy of the Mandatory font, simply place the font file (MANDATOR.ttf) in the same directory as the .SCAD file included with this project.</p><p>If you see the following (or similar) errors in OpenSCAD, check the name and location of the font file:</p><p>WARNING: Can't open library 'MANDATOR.ttf'. ERROR: Can't read font with path 'MANDATOR.ttf' Execution aborted OpenSCAD Customizer Options</p><p>This design has the following Customizer options:</p><h3>Text</h3><ul><li>Text - The text</li><li>Inset_Text - Should text be inset?</li><li>Text_Thickness - Thickness of the text</li></ul><h3>Plate</h3><ul><li>Plate_Width - Width of the plate (excluding border)</li><li>Border_Width - Width of the border</li><li>Plate_Thickness - Thickness of the plate</li><li>Additional_Border_Thickness - Additional material thickness of border</li></ul><h3>Keyring</h3><ul><li>Keyring_Hole - Should a keyring hole be added?</li><li>Hole_Diameter - Diameter of the hole</li><li>Hole_Border_Width - Thickness of the material around the hole</li></ul><h3>Other</h3><ul><li>Priming_Block - Add a priming block (for multi-filament prints)</li><li>Priming_Block_Diameter_Percent - Diameter of the priming block</li><li>Priming_Block_X_Offset_Percent - Priming block X offset as percentage of distance from center</li><li>Priming_Block_Y_Offset_Percent - Priming block Y offset as percentage of distance from center</li></ul><h3>Multicolor keyrings with a single extruder 3D printer</h3><p>If you'd like to print with multiple filaments:</p><p>Make a note of the Text_Thickness and Plate_Thicknesssettings you've used.</p><p>Consider adding a Priming_Block. The idea is that, at the start of each layer, your printer should print this first. This will help to ensure the filament is flowing nicely after a filament change, before starting to print with the new filament.</p><p>You can adjust the size and position of the Priming Block to suit your needs. Don't make it too large though, as you'll be wasting filament.</p><p>Print using your slicer's 'pause at height'/'filament change' feature, ensuring to switch the filament somewhere between the desired heights.
