Personal Monitor (and) Fan Stand - PMFS

It's sweltering in Germany. I've got a U-shaped aluminum sheet on my desk to elevate my LCD to a comfortable level. By chance, the gap is 249 millimeters. Plenty of room for three old 80 mm PC fans. I fabricated an adjustable mount and connected the fans in parallel to a cheap 12 V PWM speed controller that gets its power from a cheap AC/DC LED Driver with 8 Watts. To prevent resonances, the fan mounts are attached to the aluminum stand with 3.1 x 9 x 1 mm washers. The PWM speed controller I'm using is available at Amazon or eBay for anywhere between 2.70 euros and 10.00 euros. Please search for "DC 1.8V 3V 5V 6V 12V 2A 30W PWM". Here's the bill of materials: * Three 80 mm PC fans - I used ARCTIC F8 * Twenty fan screws * Two M3 x 12 DIN 933 (DIN EN 21017) screws * Four 3.1 x 9 x 1 rubber washers * Two DIN 9021 3.2 washers * Two DIN 315 butterfly nuts * Eight tapping screws for the PWM housing, 1.6 x 3 in size * Some double-sided adhesive tape for the PWM and 12 V LED driver * A few centimeters of two-core cable * Of course, if you use an LED driver, a power connector cable Printed parts: * Two "Lüfterhalter V2" * Four "Lüfterverbinder" * One "12 V PWM Drehzahlsteller Hülle unten" * One "12 V PWM Drehzahlsteller Hülle oben"
