Persistance Of Vision - POV GLOBE
thingiverse
Hi Makers, Today I'll be sharing a new project with you all. It's called POV Globe, and it's based on the concept of persistence of vision. So let's take a quick look at what persistence of vision is: Any AC voltage light appears to be blinking on and off at a frequency of 60Hz or 60 times per second. Our brains interpret this as constant light, which is exactly what we'll be exploiting in order to create a spherical image using just one row of LEDs. We're using 58 LEDs for each half of the globe, so you'll need a total of 116 LEDs to get started. To create the circular shape, we'll be relying on a 3D printer. If you want to see more details about how it all works, I recommend checking out the video tutorials below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4GZj4AGmVk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=930jzEfo3zg
With this file you will be able to print Persistance Of Vision - POV GLOBE with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Persistance Of Vision - POV GLOBE.
